MELBOURNE – Fresh off the back of a gruelling week that had EOFY, running the monthly reports and prepping the budget Jan Hollins has had a bloody gutful.
‘I really thought this was the week that I get everything under control’, said Mrs. Hollins. ‘My to-do list actually gained a few new items which is unfortunate because I started ticking off those items that I created in July last year such as finally getting my inbox to zero and organising my spreadsheets.’
Mrs. Hollins, who’s the Exec Admin Assistant at PingusCo. even hired a contractor fresh out of uni with an MBA to help organise the chaos, but due to the constant shifting of goalposts and unclear communication only lasted a few weeks.
In a strange twist of fate, all of Mrs. Hollins’ colleagues managed to hit their goals due to proper time management and they finish their daily tasks by 3:30pm. There were comments that she’s always coming in late and going for coffees and gossiping with other staff members who also complain that there’s not enough hours in the week.
‘Maybe next week is the week that I finally get on top of everything’, she was heard muttering to herself.
