MELBOURNE – The Vinnies CEO Sleepout is a noble yet misguided cause to raise awareness of rough sleepers throughout Australia by having CEOs and C-Suite members sleep outdoors for the night, often in $600 sleeping bags with the price tag still attached.
However, this year the leadership team of PingusCo has taken efficiency one step further by outsourcing the whole event to the Philipines. “We have found that we can do it on a much larger and more comfortable scale, especially for us as we don’t mingle with the riff-raff”, said CEO Jeffrey Hollister as he was headed to his country estate in rural Victoria.
The company’s press release stated they’ve found efficient and economical ways of highlighting this cause, and will match donations into their subsidiary charity; PingusCare.
